4 Signs You May Have Achilles Tendinitis

If you’re feeling persistent heel or lower leg pain, your Achilles tendon could be the cause. Here are four signs it’s time to seek treatment:

Pain in the Back of the Heel or Calf

Aching or sharp pain above your heel, especially during or after activity.

Morning Stiffness

Tightness in the back of your leg when you first get out of bed that gradually loosens up.

Swelling or Thickening of the Tendon

Noticeable inflammation or a bump along the tendon line behind your ankle.

Pain When Walking or Climbing Stairs

Discomfort increases with movement or pressure on the foot and heel.

What our Patients Are Saying

Emily M

“Dr. Christie was wonderful during the worst cellulitis infection I’ve ever experienced. He was able to come in to Elliot in Manchester while I was there and go over how we were gonna tackle it. The incision and drainage was done perfectly and I was able to heal within a few weeks! I owe a lot to him for his expertise and time in helping me overcome this difficult health issue. Highly recommend!”

Maria D

“Dr Christie is a 5* Doctor. You will be warmly welcomed at the front desk. From setting our 1st appointment through every step following, this practice is outstanding. My son has had issues for years with his flat feet. We have been to other specialists prior to moving to NH and none compare to Dr. Christie. He has a heart of gold and is wonderful. The office is clean and professional and you will feel right at home the moment you arrive. Setting follow up appointments is easy too! Thank you Dr. Christie for the care for our son.”

Ellen C

“Phenomenal experience! Got an appointment 3 days from my phone call! As a new patient seeing a specialist for the first time, that in itself was a miracle! Dr. Christie and his secretary were very kind and understanding! The doctor removed a painful corn from my toe in minutes!
I will be using this practice from now on for all my foot care needs! Thank you for helping me!”
