Understanding Neuroma Treatment

It's Time You Start Living Pain Free

A neuroma—most commonly Morton’s neuroma—is a painful thickening of nerve tissue between the toes, often caused by pressure, irritation, or repetitive stress. Symptoms like burning, tingling, or a feeling of “walking on a pebble” can make every step uncomfortable. At Christie Foot & Ankle, we provide precise neuroma treatment to relieve nerve pain and help you walk comfortably again—without surgery in most cases.

4 Signs You May Need Neuroma Treatment

Not sure if your foot pain is caused by a neuroma? Here are four signs it’s time to see a specialist:

Burning or Tingling Between the Toes

Nerve irritation often causes sharp, shooting, or burning sensations in the forefoot.

Numbness in the Toes

A loss of sensation or a “pins and needles” feeling may indicate nerve compression.

Pain That Worsens With Activity or Shoes

Symptoms flare up when walking, standing, or wearing tight footwear.

Feeling Like You’re Standing on a Pebble

A classic symptom of Morton’s neuroma—caused by swelling around the nerve.

What our Patients Are Saying

Emily M

“Dr. Christie was wonderful during the worst cellulitis infection I’ve ever experienced. He was able to come in to Elliot in Manchester while I was there and go over how we were gonna tackle it. The incision and drainage was done perfectly and I was able to heal within a few weeks! I owe a lot to him for his expertise and time in helping me overcome this difficult health issue. Highly recommend!”

Maria D

“Dr Christie is a 5* Doctor. You will be warmly welcomed at the front desk. From setting our 1st appointment through every step following, this practice is outstanding. My son has had issues for years with his flat feet. We have been to other specialists prior to moving to NH and none compare to Dr. Christie. He has a heart of gold and is wonderful. The office is clean and professional and you will feel right at home the moment you arrive. Setting follow up appointments is easy too! Thank you Dr. Christie for the care for our son.”

Ellen C

“Phenomenal experience! Got an appointment 3 days from my phone call! As a new patient seeing a specialist for the first time, that in itself was a miracle! Dr. Christie and his secretary were very kind and understanding! The doctor removed a painful corn from my toe in minutes!
I will be using this practice from now on for all my foot care needs! Thank you for helping me!”
