Foot Pain Ends Here
Straighten Your Steps With Trusted Hammertoe Treatment
A hammertoe is a toe deformity where one or more toes become bent at the middle joint, often leading to pain, rubbing, and difficulty wearing shoes. Left untreated, hammertoes can stiffen over time and become more painful or permanent. At Christie Foot & Ankle, we offer effective hammertoe treatment options—from conservative care to surgical correction—so you can walk comfortably and confidently again.
If your toes are causing discomfort or limiting your mobility, here are four signs you may have a hammertoe that needs professional care:
A toe that stays bent or sticks up at the joint may be a sign of hammertoe.
Discomfort, especially when wearing tight or enclosed footwear, is a common symptom.
Friction from the bent toe can lead to thickened, or even painful skin.
Difficulty straightening the toe or moving it freely often indicates the condition is progressing.
Living with hammertoe pain can make even simple activities uncomfortable. At Christie Foot & Ankle, we listen to your concerns and offer personalized care that delivers results. As a trusted local provider, we’re committed to helping you feel better, move better, and step into life without pain.

“Dr. Christie was wonderful during the worst cellulitis infection I’ve ever experienced. He was able to come in to Elliot in Manchester while I was there and go over how we were gonna tackle it. The incision and drainage was done perfectly and I was able to heal within a few weeks! I owe a lot to him for his expertise and time in helping me overcome this difficult health issue. Highly recommend!”

“Dr Christie is a 5* Doctor. You will be warmly welcomed at the front desk. From setting our 1st appointment through every step following, this practice is outstanding. My son has had issues for years with his flat feet. We have been to other specialists prior to moving to NH and none compare to Dr. Christie. He has a heart of gold and is wonderful. The office is clean and professional and you will feel right at home the moment you arrive. Setting follow up appointments is easy too! Thank you Dr. Christie for the care for our son.”

“Phenomenal experience! Got an appointment 3 days from my phone call! As a new patient seeing a specialist for the first time, that in itself was a miracle! Dr. Christie and his secretary were very kind and understanding! The doctor removed a painful corn from my toe in minutes!
I will be using this practice from now on for all my foot care needs! Thank you for helping me!”
